MUMBAI - India's stocks, bonds and currency markets will be closed on Tuesday for a public holiday and trading will resume on Wednesday.
The broader NSE Nifty rose 0.44 percent to 10,739.35 on Monday and the benchmark BSE Sensex gained 0.55 percent to 35,160.36.
The bonds and currency markets were closed on Monday for a public holiday.
